Young Illustrators Class - March 7 | 5 - 6 PM
Join nationally published author and illustrator Tadgh Bentley for a fun, hands-on class that explores character development and design. All supplies will be provided, and participants will receive a FREE sketch pad. It is recommended for 8 - 12-year-olds. Tickets are $20.00 per child.
Dragons Love Tacos - March 8 | 10 AM - 6 PM
Did you know Dragons Love Tacos? Stop by the museum for themed story hours, dragon STEAM activities, a FREE Mr. Burrito presentation at 1 PM (make and take guacamole), and grab a delicious taco in a bag from Aunt K’s Kitchen!
Aunt K’s Kitchen will be set up 11 AM - 1 PM (at your own cost)
Mr. Burrito’s presentation provided by Qdoba Mexican Eats begins at 1 PM and runs approximately 45 minutes. Participants will learn how to make homemade guacamole with a sample to take home. (Free with admission to Discovery World on Market)

Young Illustrators Class - March 7th
Join us for an introduction to basic illustration in story building. Local author and illustrator Tadgh Bentley will teach kids in this hands-on workshop how to illustrate. Materials are provided for class and participants will get to take home their very own sketch book. Class is $20 per registration, open to all children but recommended for ages 8 - 12 years of age. Space is limited and will be held in our Makerspace. Parents are welcome to stay and observe.
Izzy's Kids Club: Spring into Science
It’s time to Spring into Science! Kids Club members will explore the exciting science behind gravity, potential, and kinetic energy with Slinkys. Once they’ve completed their experiments the club will adventure through the museum and enjoy a snack!
Izzy’s Kids Club is a drop-off event, recommended for children aged 6 to 12.

Izzy's Spring Break Adventure Camp
Mess is a MUST! Campers will adventure safely into messy STEAM activities exploring engineering concepts, the scientific method, chemical reactions, measurements, and more! Learning is more fun when it’s messy! Izzy’s Spring Break Adventure Camp will include a slime lab, bubble factory, fizzy science experiments, and exciting art lessons.
Camp runs March 31 through April 4th from 8:30am - 12:30 pm.
Cost is $150 per camper. Recommended for ages 7 - 12.
We encourage campers to wear play clothes that are okay to get dirty. Please send your camper will a water bottle. Due to limited time and a lot to explore lunch will NOT be offered. We will provide a snack. Special thanks to our Camp sponsor Chemours!

The Space Gal - Emily Calandrelli
Discovery World on Market brings you West Virginia native astronaut, engineer and media personality Emily Calandrelli, The Space Gal, for a presentation on her journey to flying to space including the failures, milestones, and life lessons she learned along the way. Event will take place at the Parkersburg Art Center. Emily’s performance recommended for children 8 years of age and up! Tickets are $15 per person and go on sale Monday, March 10th at 9am.
Marshmallow Launcher Class
Science and engineering come together for a fun, hands-on learning experience! Three class time available at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. Registration is required. Participants will make their own marshmallow launcher and take-home target. Cost is $10 per person.

Izzy's Kids Club - Going on a Bear Hunt
WE'RE NOT SCARED! Bring the pages of this beloved book to life with themed STEAM activities that make our Kids Club members the main character and challenges them to overcome obstacles along the way.

This Kids Club will take our members around the museum where they will build, solve and experience the exhibits in a new way. Once they've made it to the end, they will make their own stuffed bears to take home as a trophy.
Cost is $30 this is a drop-off event and which covers snack, bear hunt gear, projects and their own stuffed bear! February 1st Tiny STEAMers Class
Join us for a heart-themed, hands-on STEAM program for kids ages 2-5! This program includes fun activities such as learning how our heart works and feeling heartbeats with a stethoscope, decoding secret messages with conversation hearts, working together on a toy car track with heart-shaped hoops, creating heart friendship bracelets, and sorting, counting, and matching heart-shaped paper cutouts. Join us in the Makerspace for our December MakerDays! Kids will learn how to make their own Gingerbread house and the importance of engineering! Izzy's Kids Club: Parents Night Out
We know the holidays can be hectic so drop your kids off for a fun night at Discovery World while you check items off your to-do list! Your little elves can join us in Izzy’s Holiday House for a night of making and creating! Each participant will take home a special gift for their caregivers. While we create a one-of-a-kind gift we will enjoy hot chocolate, popcorn, and a short holiday film.

Whoville Indoor Ice Rink
The indoor ice rink is coming back to Discovery World on Market as a $5 additional fee per skater! We have transformed our theatre into "Whoville", complete with decorations, music and the indoor ice rink! Our Whoville Ice Rink will run from Monday, November 25th through December 31st during public hours.
The $5 "Add-On Experience" fee includes skates and can be purchased at our ticketing booth.

Izzy's Holiday House
Izzy and Hamy have been hard at work preparing for the holidays! Stop by the Discovery Cafe, located on the second floor, November 25th - December 23rd to shop at Izzy's Holiday House. This area will be designed for children to shop for loved ones this holiday season. Izzy's Holiday House will promote fine motor skills, basic math through money handling, and creativity through hands-on STEAM projects. All Holiday Kits will be priced under $5.00. Little Chef Cookie in a Jar Measurement Workshop
Join us on Sunday, November 24th in our Discovery Zone! Our KIDS ONLY, hands-on workshop will teach kids how to create a cookie in a jar kit, great for a holiday gift!
